Position: Assistant Coach
Bio: Harmon comes to Captain Shreve after a 13-year stint at Southwood High School. Coach Harmon coached football from 2007-2011 where he was Head Freshman, Head Junior Varsity, and Varsity Wide Receivers Coach.
Coach Harmon coached basketball at Southwood High School from 2007-2020. During his 13 years he coached Freshmen, Junior Varsity and was Varsity Assistant Coach. He led the Cowboy Freshmen to City Championships in 2013 and 2016 and was a part of a Varsity District Championship in 2016. At Southwood, Coach Harmon saw 19 of his players sign to play basketball in college including four at the Division I level. The Cowboys appeared in the LHSAA playoffs in 11 of his 13 years. He spent the 2021 season as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Keithville Middle School where he led the Eagles to a share of the Division Championship and an appearance in the Caddo Parish Playoffs.
Harmon is a 2003 graduate of Southwood High School where he was a member of the football and basketball teams. He received his bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from LSU-Shreveport. Coach Harmon is a certified teacher in Special Education and Social Studies.
