Affectionately known as, “Coach Morgan,” her energy is contagious. She’s always saying she does this, “For the Love of The Game!” Her smile and charismatic spirit is felt most notably at the home games. She livens the crowd as the MC and DJ of the games.

Morgan Anderson (Williams) grew up in Shreveport, LA and attended Captain Shreve High School. There she was a member of the Lady Gator’s basketball team, band and various clubs. She is a member of St. Mary A.M.E. Church and serves wherever needed. Upon graduating from CSHS, she enrolled at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Minor in Chemistry. She attended Xavier University of Louisiana to pursue a Master’s Degree in Counseling. Inspired by a colleague, she moved to Monroe, LA for an internship in the ER at St. Francis Medical Center. There her love of the game was rekindled. She began assisting with Therapeau Net as a mentor to student athletes. Her passion for helping the youth and playing the game was unmistakable. She moved back to Shreveport in 2013 and began substitute teaching in Caddo, before receiving the opportunity of a lifetime. A career as a chemist at a local industrial plant and a coaching position. She began coaching freshman girls basketball at Captain Shreve as an assistant coach under Keith Greene in 2013. Morgan believes it’s bigger than just playing and coaching basketball. It’s about developing young people to be the best version of themselves on and off the court, as they prepare for the next phase of life.

FUN FACT – While in college she earned the nickname, “DJ DXME.” After pledging her sorority, she always wanted to play the music at all events, curate playlists, etc. She was #10 on the line, thus creating the name.

Coach Morgan was recently married to long time boyfriend, Jerome. Congratulations!!!!
